To paddle in the Dragon Boat Races, you need 20 people paddling; we will provide the steer’s person, and the drummer. Generally we tell teams to have between 21 and 27 people per team as there are some people that do not like paddling all the races as it can be very tiring for some people.

We provide one practice usually one-two weeks before the event however there are two breast cancer teams that will do practices, they charge $ 100 per hour to use their boat for a practice and the money goes to them for their fundraising needs.

If my team cannot raise the $250 per person, what can I do?

We have many fundraising programs going on and get more and more information everyday from teams that have had success with fundraising. If you register on our team portal you can talk to teams about great fundraising ideas and search info. We have never had a problem with teams not reaching that goal, the most a team has raised is $30,000. We are here to help teams with fundraising efforts.

There is currently a 30 foot granite dragon that is a symbol of strength-courage-peacefulness that will be an extension of the gardens.
