Breast Cancer Survivor Team
Our team is from Indianapolis, Indiana and began the planning stages in mid June 2007. We have a board of 6 plus an executive committee. Our Premier Sponsor is Indiana University Simon Cancer Center/Clarian Health. Other sponsors include, Ed Martin Automotive Group, Sharon Bassett Fund, Tim Goedde MD plus many other sponsors. Our boat will arrive from China in March and will be painted pink. We will custom paint the head and tail in Indianapolis. The is the first head and tail in North America to have the tail and head hand painted in the U.S. We have 80 paddlers and many have been training with personal trainers since January 2008. Our coach does weekly practices. No door has closed and we are very excited to be part of the Dragon Boat Racing community of breast cancer survivors. View our web site at: www.indysurviveoars.org
